Poker runs are a growing craze in the motorcycle community, as they provide an opportunity for camaraderie and competition. They allow bikers to traverse routes they may not have considered going on in the past, and also act as a great way to raise money for charity. Two employees of the Yellowstone Harley-Davidson in Belgrade are dead after their motorcycles collided with a Toyota Tundra on Highway 86 outside Wilsall Sunday evening at around 6 p.m. The men were part of a large pack of riders on a poker run over Labor Day weekend. The poker run starts at Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson©, 2885 West County Line Road in Littleton. Registration is from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and the last motorcycle goes tout at 11:00 am, rain or shine. The ride fee is $20.00 for the first hand and $10.00 for each additional hand. Participants receive a commemorative Turkey Run Pin with the purchase of their first hand while supplies last. Route will be disclosed day of ride, buy as many poker hands as you'd like, because best hands win Thanksgiving Turkey. The ride ends with a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, food and more. Nick Politz is a Navy/Marine Veteran who fought in the Battle of Fallujah in November 2004 and is now fighting Stage 4 Cancer with the support of his wife, two kids, friends and family.
With local support of riders, this poker run has been put together to help raise funds for the Politz family. It is $20 per bike.

Ride starts at Maverick Harley-Davidson where you will also draw your first hand and ends at Maverick Harley-Davidson for the last card. Riders will also be visiting Rock and Brews, A Living Canvas Tattoo and El Rincon.
